Peace Day - ISKL Style

Today, on the 21st of September, the Global Issues classes held a fund raiser for Peace Day. There were many events held, such as face painting, water balloon games and cookie sales. The serene atmosphere displayed in the school was exactly what we were aiming for. The sight of all different races uniting for a great cause, the delightful sound of Connie's hard work successfully completing it's task, we could practically feel the joy of those lives we knew we would change. In a mere 40 minutes with hopefully every ISKL citizen working together, whether they were buying or selling, we managed to raise RM611 or $185(US). This money will go to buying t-shirts for the teachers who will participate in a marathon that will earn money for landmine victims and AIDS. We'd like to thank everyone who participated in contributing to peace. No mater how small the action, the effect would surely be great, and it was.
